“WOMEN HAVE TAKEN OVER. THEY NO LONGER MEET MEN IN HOTELS, THEY CONFRONT THEM IN THE STREETS” – CHINWETALU

Nigerian actor Chinwetalu had some controversial statements about the dynamics of relationships between men and women today. In an interview with Chude He openly said that he is happy and okay with the way the dynamics have changed because back in the day when men had the power, they misused it against women.

“Women have taken over. They no longer meet men in hotels, they now meet them on the streets, they won’t wait for you to get to the hotel and now men are running and dodging prostitutes because of that” he said.

Gone are days when men would build affairs with prostitutes in hiding because even these prostitutes want to show off when they are in love. It is no wonder that married women will hold back from posting and sharing about their marriage least they get embarrassed by a prostitute or another woman claiming to be the girlfriend or wife.

“Society is better now because when men were mounting pressure, women were bound to be raped. If you refuse those days, they will organize and rape you, but today is better that way and to me is better that way.” He adds.

He basically implied that sexual assaults have reduced because of the latest developments in the relationship dynamics.

Chinwetalu is famous for his harsh character in most Nigerian movies as either a Land Lord Chief or uncle to am orphaned homeless niece. His character in these movies created a lot of relatability in the Nigerian community and when he speaks of these changes, it is evident that there has been a dynamic change in society.

Where as most men in the comment section disagreed with him saying that what he is terming as a positive change is moral decay, women on the other hand were applauding him for highlighting how this sexual dominance among women has created a sense of self protection against crimes of sexual assault.
