A CLASH OF LIBERTY & RESPECT.

Giving liberty to young people to be free creative innovative and disruptive in thinking should not be taken as ground for disrespect. A video of a teacher arguing with a student for throwing at her a shoe during her class goes viral on TikTok and later social media.

It all started when the Teacher was teaching and then suddenly a shoe hit the white board. The teacher picked the shoe opened the door and asked security to call the Police. And later turned to the class asking who threw the shoe.

The student then starts responding to the teacher disrespectfully with her red sock covered foot on top of her desk. The teacher put the shoe back on her foot and ask her to leave the class and the student refused saying “I am not getting out of the class, so what can you do?” She kept on being disrespectful and started throwing more of her items to the board.

The teacher is seen getting frustrated and trying to control her self and yet the student kept on being arrogant and disrespectful to the teacher. When you watch the video clearly you will notice the student trying to get to her teacher’s nerve to do something horrible to her and use it against her.

The teacher tried so much to control herself and at some point, she almost lost it. When the police man walked in and asked what had happened, it was clear that the student was causing chaos. If she had not thrown the rest of her staff on the board, it would be quite difficult for the teacher to defend herself however, the books that were lying on the floor were evidence against the student and she was taken out forcefully by the Police.

No matter how much freedom and independence young people, there is need for some sort of control and authority because in this case this student would have provoked her teacher till she loses it and hitting a student in some countries is a criminal offence and this alone could lead to evoking of her teaching license all because a student couldn’t have some respect for her teacher.

This is behavior that is not even acceptable in any workplace today.
