ASAKE LOSES BET VIEWERS CHOICE AWARD TO LIBIANCA

Asake lost the Viewer’s Choice BET award to Cameroonian singer Libianca. Famously known for her song “People”

The singer Libianca has been able to appeal to more audiences because of the fact that she sings a common global language unlike Asake who sings most of his songs in his indigenous languages, like Yoruba.

In as much as Asake’s songs are popular, they are well produced with such and amazing sound, Libianca would beat him because of the fact that she sings in English” Social media annalyst.

On contrary others say that Asake deserved the Award because his songs are hits and yet Libianca just got to the scene with one hit “People”

They say that much as his songs may have been in the indigenous language, they are bangers because the songs are just great.

Nigerians were left disgruntled and dissatisfied with the results of the Award saying English songs will always win and besides, people would connect with Libianca’s songs at all levels.

Some Ugandan music enthusiasts say that Asake is overrated. And Libianca deserved the award.

This achievement will elevate Libianca’s career to the next level given the fact that she is now being booked to perform on global tours with icons such as Alicia Keys
