There has been a marathon of auto biographies that have influenced conversation especially on twitter. The common factor about these books is, they all have a controversial aspect revealed by the author which shaped ideologies in this generation. Here is a list of auto biographies that have shaped opinion and ideology on social media.

BECOMING by Michelle Obama. The selling factor in this book was how Michelle managed to strike the balance between wife, First lady and mother to two beautiful daughters. She broke the stereotype in society built around women in powerful positions. She highlights every single myth and breaks it down with the reality of how it happened with her story. The book became a top selling in bookstores.

 

PRINCE HARRY SPARE: This is where HRH Prince Harry writes about his life, his beliefs and why he decided to leave the Palace. The highlight was the point where he revealed how the challenges that his mother faced while growing up, were starting to catch up with his wife as well and he could not allow that to happen to his family.

 

FINDING ME by Viola Davis: Multi Award winning Actress writes a compelling story about herself and shares about the moment she discovered herself and how society could not stand the new her and instead of understanding her, she was regarded as complicated and difficult. This book featured in Oprah Winfrey’s book club.

 

THE NNAABAGEREKA: Now making rounds on social media after HM Nabagereka Sylvia Naginda revealed that she was blessed with a pair of twins which the shocked the public because no one knew about them. Her life has been such a journey that any young lady or girl in the kingdom of Buganda would desire to emulate.  She also shuttered the stereotype that women belong in the kitchen. She has played her role as Queen, wife, mother and daughter regardless of the unrealistic social expectations.
