NRG RADIO TO CELEBRATE “20 YEARS OF NAVIO” THIS SEPTEMBER.

Twenty Years of Navio is such a legendary event to happen this September. Navio started out his music career introducing the modern hip-hop genre to the music industry of Uganda at a time when music in Uganda was evolving.

When he started out his music, he released his song “All I wanna Know” ft. Klear Kut and Juliana Kanyomozi which became a hit in Uganda. Soon after that her jumped on a collabo with other famous artistes like Bobi Wine releasing “Bad Man” and at that time, Bobi Wine was among the artists back then who were changing the dynamics of music from the legendary Kadongo Kamu to Kidandali.

Navio’s songs have been hitting ever since he started out his career in 2000, from his very first album “Mind Body & Soul which became a huge success in Uganda. He also influenced a number of Ugandan artistes who were interested in rap music and brought on board the Genre of Lugaflo where rapping is don’t in Luganda.

Navio’s unique genre has made him a legendary in rap music and today he is holding a press conference at Sheraton Hotel to share about what to expect in on his upcoming concert “20 years of Navio”

Navio has also published a book for this generation of artistes directing them on how they can push their career in music to become successful.

NRG Radio has decided to be part of the celebration of this Journey because much as we have only made 5 years in this industry, Navio’s music still resonates with the audience of this generation. As a radio station with music as a pillar of our content, Navio is one Legend that deserves to be celebrated today.

NRG Radio team will turn up at the event on 2^nd of September and celebrate 20 years of Navio’s music influence and transformation in Uganda’s music.
