REST IN PEACE TINA TURNER

Voice in the song “what’s love got to do with it” hit rested in eternal peace yesterday. Tina Turner has lived her calling as an entertainer to the fullest. She joined the music industry in 1957 and she was singing with a band called Kings of Rhythm. At the time her name was Little Ann.

Tuner has had a rough journey. Despite her achievements, Tuner lived with a desire to end her life. She attempted to end her life while she was married to her first love Ike Turner who used to exercise physical marriage towards her.

According to reports she over dosed on valium pill. She said that it was her marriage that was mostly making her unhappy. She later divorced Ike and her divorce was finalized in 1978 and she took custody of her children.

However, the trauma of domestic violence kept haunting her even in her next marriage with Erwin Bach. Talented as she was, she still had the urges of suicide. Three weeks into her marriage with Erwin Bach, she suffered a stroke and had to learn to walk again. She was later diagnosed with intestinal cancer and because of her choice of remedies, she developed High blood pressure which later caused Kidney failure.

At this point she considered to go for assisted suicide and signed up as a member of Exit, an organization that helps people with assisted suicide.

Her husband however offered to donate his kidney which she lived with for the rest of her life till 2023 when she breathed her last.

All her talent however did not go to a wasrte, the singer managed to successfully release as many albums one of which got her the tittle “Queen of Rock” The album is called “All the best which debuted at No.2 on the Billboard 200. This album went Platinum in the US three months after its release and later reached platinum in the UK.

After her last tour, she decided to retire in 2009 and founded an organization called co-founded a global music foundation – Swiss Beyond Foundation with Swiss Christian musician, Regula Curti and Swiss Tibetan Buddhist, Dechen Shak-Dagsay.

She also released 4 albums of spiritual uplifting music through the projects with Beyond (Swiss Band) Tuner has had a successful career and an inspirational life. With all we go through in life at different levels, let Tuner’s live remind us to care for ourselves, support one another and treat each other right.
