Written by on March 29, 2023

Nigerian singer Habeeb Olalomi popularly known as Portable recently caught the attention of fans while performing on stage and he asked them not to record him using Android phones.

“No use android camera on me” he made these statements while performing at the AI mining concert held in Tafawa Balewa square Lagos. This stired up some hateful conversation online after the clip went viral.

Others felt outraged because they had paid money to see an artist perform only for him to disparage them in such a way. Other people responded by claiming he is not that attractive to deserve such a privilege.

His remarks sparked the “Justice for Android Users” social movement. His career in Uganda would undoubtedly come to an end if his comments in this community had to be taken back, as the majority of Ugandans use android devices.

Even if his followers did not express such unfavorable opinions about him, the event’s promoter would still be the first to remove him from the stage.

Overall, his comments were viewed as being cruel and rude toward supporters.
