NRGETIC MVPs TAKEOVER

This is an exciting week for the NRGETIC MVPs as we draw closer to the final round of auditions, they have been hard at work going through radio training spearheaded by the Head of Broadcast, Kevin Bellwood. It is now time to use the different skills they have learned as they take over NRG Transit and Circle for the week.

Step aside Zion, Sean, and Vanss as our top 30 MVPs take over the radio waves and show us what they have.  Sitting down with the Transit Takeover team for Tuesday, DJ Robinkist and  Christine, they let me in for their show preparations and I had a few questions for them.

ARE YOU NERVOUS?

DJ Robinkist: Of course, everyone who is supposed to be a superstar will always have butterflies. But when I finally get on set, I will be okay.

AS A GOSPEL DJ, DO YOU FEEL A BURDEN ON YOUR SHOULDERS TO PERFORM AT YOUR BEST ALL THE TIME?

I just don’t want to be given favors just because I am a gospel DJ. I believe I have the skills and talent, so let the other Djs bring it on because I am ready.

HOW HAVE YOU PREPARED FOR THIS WEEK?

Christine: Well, with Easter being this past weekend, so amidst all this enjoyment and stuff, it is at the back of your head. So it has been a little bit of research, and getting to know the team that you have grouped with. Trying to be positive because it is nerve-wracking at first but it’s been a bit of everything.

Well, the most interesting aspect of the Takeover week is grouping together people with different personalities and they create magic. That is what the MVPs are all about and they are ready to show everyone what they have.
