HARMONY KYOMUGISHA SHADES LIGHT ON NEW MOVIE “BE A GOOD GIRL”

Award winning Actress Harmony Kyomugisha took a moment to visit us at the studios today. The gorgeous beauty has been actress for 9 years now and she has taken on the lead role a couple of times.

She was the lead actress on Kyaddala a television drama series that hit big screens in Uganda and beyond. She also acted in Sanyu,  another television drama series that trended.

“The film industry is getting better however if you are joining it for the money,  then you will be disappointed” she said this while sharing her journey in the film industry.

The gorgeous actress also shared about the other things she does that are not related to film such as digital marketing, she was a radio presenter and  a professional private chef.

Harmonie talked about the latest film “Be A Good Girl” which was shot in 2020 during the pandemic. She acted as Khalista the maid which portrays a character or personality of a young girl who just finds it hart to fit in every single environment because of the social norms.

“The story of Khalista brings out more of my personality and the things I have had to go through to  be accepted by society and yet all I wanted is to just be me” Harmonie explains.

Harmonie revealed that the film was resisted in Uganda the first time they shared. When the film was promoted in Kenya, the Government then later accepted it and we are now planning to promote it in Uganda.

“I would like to work with the film industries of Kenya and Nigeria. Hollywood is a dream come true but my focus is to maximize the opportunities in Africa and build impact in the film industry of Africa.” She adds.

Harmonie says that the film Industry of Uganda is really getting better and the Government of Uganda is beginning to embrace the impact.
