Jumia Uganda plans to provide a “Buy Now Pay Later” (BNPL) option to its platform in an effort to improve the user experience and meet the changing needs of online customers. Vinod Goel, the CEO of Jumia, made this statement in a special interview that aired on NRG Breakfast Club.

One of the hosts of the program, Prim Asiimwe, asked Goel if the BNPL feature might be added to the Jumia app. In reply, Goel announced that BNPL would be launched soon and added that in order to properly service its clients, the business has been carefully studying the intricacies of this idea. He also mentioned that this option will be reserved for more expensive things.

As of this moment, Jumia has a Tech Sale campaign, which is currently offering a wide range of electronic products at crazy discounts, coincided with all of this. One of the interesting bargains is a microwave oven, which was originally listed at 300,000 Ugandan Shillings but is now only 269,000 Shillings instead.

The Tech Sale campaign features a diverse array of tech products, including smartphones, television screens, mobile phones, speakers, and electronic kitchenware, all offered at attractive discounts. This initiative underscores Jumia’s commitment to providing its customers with access to quality products at affordable prices.

The introduction of the BNPL option is poised to revolutionize the online shopping experience for Jumia’s customers in Uganda, offering them greater flexibility and convenience in their purchasing decisions. With this new payment feature, customers will have the opportunity to buy desired items now and pay for them later, thereby spreading the cost over time.
