AUNTIE MONEY’S EXCLUSIVE FOR 2024
Written by Edith Ahurira on January 15, 2024
As we strut into 2024 with our eyes fixed on the prize, it’s time to drop the deadweight of certain issues that have overstayed their welcome in our discussions. This year, let’s collectively agree to give the boot to these time-wasters and divert our precious energy towards personal growth and success.
- “I cheated on my man, and I’m scared he’ll leave me.” Seriously, pack your emotional baggage and either confess or brace yourself for a solo journey. Ain’t nobody got time for your relationship drama – we’re busy building empires.
- “What do women bring to the table?” For those living on another planet where women are expected to function like robots, kindly relocate. Here on Earth, women don’t just bring things to the table; we bring the whole damn table. Get with the program or get lost.
- “Do you have a free ticket?” Newsflash: we’re not running a ticket printing factory. Invest in yourself, grab your own ticket, and stop expecting freebies. Listen to NRG Radio, enter a contest, or shell out some cash – just quit bugging us for handouts.
- “People tripping at work.” If your mental health screws are loose, tighten them or take a break. We’re not running a daycare center; grow up or find a sandbox elsewhere. The office is for adults doing their jobs, not babysitting emotional rollercoasters.
- Procrastination excuses – “Mukwano, either get the work done or cozy up in bed and nap. Stay there until the world forgets you exist because we’ve had enough of your excuses. Time to adult, pal.”
- Negative vibes – We’ve sorted vibes into good and bad in 2023; in 2024, we’re strictly vibing with the positive crew. When you spot good vibes, either join the party or take your negativity elsewhere. We’re creating a vibe-only zone – don’t be the party pooper.
- Petty Office Gossip: We’re in the business of professional goals, not amateur chit-chat. If it’s not about productivity or collaboration, we’re not interested. Let’s gossip about success stories, not who’s wearing what in the break room.
So, as we embark on this journey of excellence in 2024, let’s ditch the deadweight, add some swagger to our step, and remember: life’s too short for drama and too exciting for anything less than success!
