SPICE DIANA SHARES HEART FELT MESSAGE AT EVELYN’S VIGIL.

“Evelyn has been such a strong woman; she has battled with so much from the Industry and within this world but she has shown me what bravery means.” Spice Diana gave such a heartfelt speech at Evelyn Lagu’s Vigil. She said “Evelyn Lagu never really wanted us to cry at her death because she knew she had fought a good fight.”

Spice Diana appreciated Evelyn’s family for standing by her side throughout the entire journey She also appreciated the mourners for supporting artistes “We go through a lot in this industry, many people despise you and they take you for granted but it is because of your support that we get to make it, You show us support and we don’t take it for granted because among you are the people that stand by us and those that will burry us when we leave this world.”

At the end of her speech, Spice Diana went ahead and performed Evelyn Lagu’s favorite song “Siri Regula” According to Spice Diana, this was always her song choice among them all and she asked her to sing the song for her friends and family when she finally leaves.

Spice Diana had a special relationship with Evelyn Lagu and she was one of the people that gave her support when she was very ill. She made a number of visits to Evelyn when she was receiving treatment. In addition, Spice Diana was one of the people who were instrumental in fundraising for her surgeries.

Rema Namakula too showed solidarity when she decided to postpone her video premiere to pay respect and honor her life as a colleague in the industry. Evelyn Lagu is one of those stories that truly reveals that struggles of the people in the creative Industry. They spend sleepless nights releasing music and creative work but they die struggling to get the basic needs of shelter medical care or even retirement.
