RONALDO COULD FACE ARREST AND DEPORTATION FROM SAUDI ARABIA

The man nicknamed, “Mr. Champions League,” could face arrest and deportation from Saudi Arabia after an indecent gesture.

Manchester United announced that they were parting ways with Ronaldo towards the World Cup. This came a few days after appearing on Piers Morgan’s webshow where he heavily criticised the club.

The star was left to look for another club and opportunity came calling in Saudi Arabia. Al Nasr Football Club signed Ronaldo  in December on a two-and-a-half-year contract worth more than £175m a year.

Everything was going well but has started unraveling and causing a headache for both the club and the player. During a match on Tuesday against Al-Hilal, Ronaldo committed a foul that many termed as a red card offense. The player was lucky to walk away with only a yellow card but things got worse for Ronaldo.

After the game, as Ronaldo was walking off the pitch, he was taunted by opposition fans chanting Messi’s name. The Portuguese reacted by grabbing his genitals, a gesture that is illegal in the Arab country.

Lawyer Nouf bin Ahmed, announced on Twitter that he will submit a petition to the Saudi Public Ministry for Ronaldo’s arrest and deportation.

The lawyer went on to criticise Ronaldo’s behavioural change after joining Al-Nasr.

Whether anything comes from this petition remains to be seen.
