ELON MUSK CHANGES TWITTER ICON TO IMAGE OF SHIBA INU

The billionaire caused a frenzy when he bought the social media platform, Twitter for about $44 billion in 2022. Since then, he has implemented new changes including changing the Twitter icon from a bird to a Shiba Inu, a dog from Japan which is a reference to the cryptocurrency, Dogecoin.
Musk tweeted about the change on Monday afternoon, posting a screenshot of a conversation from a year ago in which another user recommended Musk “just buy Twitter” and “change the bird logo to a doge.”
The change comes a few days after a judge dismissed a case against Elon Musk amounting to about $258 billion. Musk was being sued for allegedly running a pyramid scheme and being involved in artificially raising the price of Dogecoin.
Dogecoin investors’ case was dismissed by Musk and Tesla’s attorneys as a “fanciful work of fiction” because of Musk’s “harmless and frequently silly tweets.”
Musk has a history of trolling both his supporters and his detractors on Twitter.
Usually unpredictable, dogecoin’s price increased by more than 20% in the last day to reach about 9 cents. On Monday morning, it was selling for just under 8 cents.
Two software engineers created the cryptocurrency in 2013 as a joke. The name is nod to the “doge”meme that was popular in the last decade.
